I've been suffering for many years of what the Germans call "Weltschmerz", the pain of the world. Yet when I open links to your blog to see words and feelings that resonate with mine and all of that culminates into relief, I know I'm not crazy, the world is. While the shape of the website is reminiscent of simpler times its content is all the more anchored in the present. I'm reminded of what Grafton Tanner said about nostalgia, that it is not a reactionary force but also a powerful strength that make us long for a world, yet unborn, that our hearts yearn for rather than the fantasy of a glorious past. Thank you kind stranger, the magic of RSS makes sure I never miss a post.

Hoooh, damn I really like this. It’s so easy for people to dismiss these retro-looking websites as mere escapism, but you've got it. It’s about remembering a time when the internet felt full of human potential, and using that memory as a blueprint for a better, "unborn" future. Thank you for understanding exactly what I'm trying to do here, and for keeping up via RSS.
