I really enjoyed your article about playing MixTape as an Australian. I am British (Welsh) so I definitely understand the sense of getting American imports as a good percentage of the tv/film/music I consumed growing up and that affecting cultural identity. Despite being a country I have never been to it still has a 'culturally neutral' feeling to me due to the ubiquity. Though I know Britain exports a fair deal itself, though I do remember watching a few Australian shows growing up - and not even Neighbours! (Of course within Britain there is very little about Wales or much that represents the 10 million people of colour that live in the UK)
