Hi! Just wanted to say that I'm so happy I found this blog a few months ago. The newest post, "The Save File Knows More Than You Do," speaks to me deeply, as I've spent the past few years trying to get myself to log my time with games by keeping a journal about each game as I play it. I've thus far only done it twice but each experience was so rewarding that I wonder why I don't do it every time. I'm playing through Avowed now and having a blast. I've had so many observations and ideas float in and out of my head that got lost as I've played. I think it's time to dedicate some space in my notes app for some game journaling.

This made me so happy, thank you for writing this!
It’s such a strange kind of intimacy, right? that feeling of writing things down while you’re still figuring out what they mean.
I totally get that cycle too, it feels so good when you do it, and yet somehow it slips away again next time. But I really believe even a few scattered notes or half-thoughts are enough to get the brain going.
I hope Avowed surprised you even more (I'm assuming you're done by now), and I hope your notes become a little home for all those drifting thoughts!
